Hi Harald,

1 lb of Fat is 3500 calories.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_calories_equal_1_lb_of_body_fat

Considering the average calories burned during a 30 minutes of Elliptical training (near 300-400 calories depending on sex and weight)
http://www.exercise-equipment-review.org/elliptical-trainers/how-many-calories-does-elliptical-trainer-burn

To lose 1 lb a week You need to do nearly 1 hour of elliptical a day (nearly 500-600 calories a day for 7 days) and that's what I said in the article above.

What's wrong with You?

> "Basically, a 30-minute workout on the machine will help you burn about 300 calories. If you want to lose one pound for every week, you can do so by spending about 60 minutes a week on the elliptical trainer."

How can that be? If you burn 300 calories in 30 minutes, you burn 600 calories in 6o minutes. But, a lb. of fat is 4086 calories!

At best, you'd lose a little more than 2 oz. of fat!
